Harley Davidson Classic Bikes

Harley Davidson has come a long way since its humble beginnings. The once small motorcycle manufacturer famous for Hells Angels and lone riders has become a global brand retailing everything from classic hog bikes to key chains and area rugs. Finding products with the familiar Harley bar and shield log isn't hard but if you are looking for classic biker pieces to accent entertainment centers and game rooms then consider going retro for genuine Harley Davidson furnishings.

Framed prints are great for wall decoration in bars, pubs, home entertainment rooms and billiard halls. Harley Davidson has leant its powerful brand name to a number of officially licensed framed prints made with durable acrylic face and featuring a sturdy black aluminum frame.

Highlighting motorcycle designs from years past the Harley framed print collection has terrific archival quality prints with bikes from 1903, 1921 and 1927 that chronicle the evolution of the Harley bikes from early motor bike designs to the roaring monsters you see on the roads today.

The Harley Softail is one of the most classically recognized motorcycles in America. Its bold angles and brut force make the Softail the bike against which others are compared. Its classic design makes it a good launching point for mild or extreme customization. By adding original or custom built Softail parts found in specialty shops online, you can create a truly custom yet classic bike that will stand out in the crowd.

America's true fascination with motorcycles and its culture of freedom really kicked into gear in the 1950's with the Harley Davidson Softail. Harley brought back this nostalgia in 1997 when Harley released its Heritage Softail Classic. If you're looking to add some classic features to the look of your bike, try combining some classic Softail parts like fishtail exhaust pipes and 5" running lamps with other modern elements to create a truly custom look and feel.

Harley released 6 new Softail models with a variety of engineering and design updates. Some of the new Softail parts include 49mm forks, the 6 speed Cruise Drive transmission, and a 200mm rear tire and fender. In addition to these new Softail parts, Harley Davidson will offer 8 new paint options and color combinations in 2006.

2013 Harley Davidson Anniversary Models

Anniversaries are a big deal at Harley-Davidson. As they should be for any company that has survived for more than a century in a business as mercurial as motorcycling. But not only has Harley survived, it has frequently flourished, with 2013 marking the 110th year of operation for the motorcycle that made Milwaukee famous.

No surprise, then, that Harley’s biggest news for the coming year is all about its 110th anniversary. There are no new models in the lineup to commemorate the occasion, however, and two others—the XR1200X and XL1200N Nightster—have been dropped from the Sportster range due to lagging sales, according to Greg Falkner, Manager of Motorcycle Product Planning.

But all the Big Twins remain, six of which (Super Glide Custom, Fat Boy Lo, Heritage Softail Classic, Road King, Electra Glide Ultra Limited and Tri Glide Ultra Classic), along with the Sportster 1200 Custom, will be available in both standard models and limited-edition versions celebrating the company’s 110th anniversary. They all have special bronze-and-black paint and badging, and are serialized, numbered and fitted with elaborate bronze tank badges.

Production runs of the anniversary models will range from 1450 units for the Super Glide Custom and Tri Glide to 3750 for the Electra Glide Ultra Limited. Harley set those numbers to ensure a degree of exclusivity while being able to provide at least one or two of each model to every dealer.

Other news for 2013 is a restyle of the popular Street Bob, which now has a side-mounted taillight, tapered mufflers, a round air-cleaner cover and a new black battery cover. Most important, the MSRP for the base model is the same $12,999 that it was last year, allowing the Street Bob to remain the most affordable of all the Big Twins.
